(Fergus, ON.) -On Thursday April 22nd, 2010 at about 1:14am County of Wellington OPP officers spotted a pickup that was travelling southbound on Tower Street at a high rate of speed.

The 2005 Chevy Silverado pickup turned sharply onto South River Road where it was stopped by the police. The officer spoke to the driver and discovered that he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail. When the officer arrested the driver a struggle ensued.

Brendan F. McKenzie aged 43 of Elora has been charged with Over 80 mgs and Resist Arrest contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. McKenzie is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on May 24th, 2010 to answer to the charges.
