On Tuesday April 20th, 2010 at about 4:26pm
County of Wellington OPP officers investigated the driver of a pickup
travelling on Jones Baseline near the Guelph-Nichol Townline.
At this time, police checked the 2000 Chevy Pickup and found the driver
was currently drinking in the vehicle. The driver was administered a
Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Rodney Smith aged 54 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 mgs
contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada as well as Drive with Open
Liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. Smith is scheduled to appear
in Guelph court on May 31st, 2010 to answer to the charges.
