Fail to Remain Friday April 16, 2010

On Friday April 16, 2010 at about 2:40pm County of Wellington OPP officers responded to a reported single vehicle crash on Highway 6 south of Fergus.

Officers located the collision near Wellington Road 22, where a 1988 Ford Mustang skidded across four lanes of traffic and entered the east ditch, rolling over. Witnesses told police that the driver climbed out of the window and fled on foot across the farm field. Police checked nearby areas and just after 3:00pm officers' located the driver on the Guelph-Nichol Townline, and discovered that he had been drinking.

Jeremy Scott Chamula aged 31 years of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. Chamula is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on May 31st, 2010 to answer to the charges.
