Disturbance-February 1, 2010

(Fergus, ON.) -On Saturday January 30th, 2010 at about 7:14pm County of Wellington OPP responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance in Fergus. Police spoke with the 19 year old Norfolk lady who reported problems with her boyfriend.

The victim told officers that she wished to come to Fergus to visit friends. She had an argument with her boyfriend and he reluctantly brought her to Fergus to visit her friends. At about 7:00pm the group wanted to go to a nearby restaurant, but the boyfriend wanted them leave. An argument followed and she got into her friends Cavalier to go with them. The boyfriend tried to stop her from going and then jumped onto the hood of the car- smashing the windshield and damaging the hood in the process. The group then fled in the car with the boyfriend following. County of Wellington OPP attended to investigate and the suspect was later arrested.

County of Wellington OPP officers have charged the 29 year old Norfolk County man with Mischief and Intimidation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Monday February 1st, 2010 for a Bail hearing.
