Impaired Driver

(Fergus, ON.) -On Sunday January 31st, 2010 at about 4:15pm County of Wellington OPP responded to a report of a possible drinking driver. Witnesses spotted the driver trying to park his car in the plaza near Mac's Milk on Tower Street South, Fergus. In doing so the driver went up onto the sidewalk narrowly missing hitting the wall. The car then left heading towards Guelph. Minute's later police located the 2000 Oldsmobile at the Zehrs plaza on Tower Street, and when officers spoke with the driver, discovered that he had been drinking.

Joshua W. Shaw aged 24 years of Arthur Twp has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. Shaw is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on March 8th, 2010 to answer to the charges.
