Directing Actors for Film and Video
August 12, 2006
10:00am-4:00pm
Cost: $75 for members / $100 for non-members
This one-day workshop is for directors to learn better communication ideas to aid in directing actors. Instructor Buddy Brennan, a full time actor and director since 1987, who has been the artistic director of three theatres in Ontario and has worked with greats from Hollywood and across Canada, will teach directors to speak the actor's language. If the director understands the direction the way the actor hears it they can save money, energy, time, and much more.
Part of this workshop will also include information on casting sessions with ideas to aid in the process of weeding out weaker actors and further look at ways to improve the scope of the sources for actors such as how to get to actors outside your friends and family.
